Before you tackle any fall home renovations, do your research. What projects add value to your home? How much will they cost? How extensive are the renovations? What materials will you need? How long will the work take? Do you need any permits? These are all important factors to take into consideration.
Once you’ve decided that you are ready for the project at hand, it’s time to dive in. Adequate research beforehand can hopefully alleviate any unforeseen problems, but it’s still best to keep on top of your renovations until they are complete. Are there any potential issues that might arise during construction that you can prevent? Will inclement weather affect your timeline? Have all design elements been decided upon beforehand? How will any changes to the design affect the project as a whole? Are all pertinent materials on hand or will any back-ordered parts delay the project? One small snag can affect the whole project, so best to prevent them from occurring as best you can.
